Our wisdom is our real legacy, and this retreat helps individuals and communities of women capture some of it in print and in pictures.
This is a two-day retreat for mature women where each participant will be guided through an appreciative review of their life, using journaling, ritual, and music to help them claim the breadth and depth of their amazing lives and synthesis their experiences and knowledge into a one-page document of wisdom statements. This work prepares the participants for their portrait session with a professional photographer to capture their unique beauty in a photograph to be included with the printed message.

Carol R. Guenther, M. Div, is a lay minister, spiritual director and owner of Sursum Corda Retreat Center in Copalis Beach, Washington. Carol served on the pastoral staffs of Catholic and Lutheran Churches in Washington State for 28 years and consulted on numerous Diocesan projects across the country. She is a seasoned retreat leader, with a strong background in the arts.

Bertha L. Palacios-Osborne is a portrait photographer and videographer with 20 plus years of experience producing documentary style and inspirational short videos for non-profit organizations. Now a freelance photographer, she focuses on helping women capture their inner beauty and create long-lasting portraits to leave as a legacy for their loved ones.
